To be considered for a university-level scholarship new students must meet the following minimum requirements: Be admitted to the university; have a minimum 3.0 GPA; have a SAT Composite Score of 1000 (Verbal & Math) or higher or ACT Composite of 23 (Verbal & Math) or higher; All interested students must also complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Animation Scholarship (for those interested in a career in animation)

The UNC- Greensboro Guarantee is a scholarship program for high-achieving graduating seniors in North Carolina, whose families are of a low-socioeconomic status. This scholarship allows those chosen for the program to attend college without much financial burden and covers 4 years of debt free (or very little debt) education- including tuition, room and board. The basic qualifications are listed below
- Have been admitted to UNCG at the time of applying
- North Carolina resident for tuition purposes
- Received a combined SAT score of a 1000 or above on the Critical Reading and Mathematics sections or an ACT composite score of 21 or above
- Have a family income that does not exceed 100% of the federal poverty level (a good indicator of students who may qualify are those who are on free or reduced lunch at school

UNC Charlotte Levine Scholars Program - New 8/29/13
- Successful candidates will likely have a grade point average of 3.8 – 4.00 (unweighted) and score 1900 – 2400 on the three combined sections of the SAT or 29 – 36 on the ACT composite. Thus, while there are no minimum SAT, ACT or grade point averages to apply for the Levine Scholarship, students must excel academically.
- Students must demonstrate a commitment to community service, hold an academic record that reflects a sustained passion for knowledge, and possess a capacity for ethical leadership that beckons fellow students toward a higher standard.
- Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents.
- All applicants must be nominated by their school counselor by October 15th at 11:59 p.m. to be considered.
BigSun Scholarship

JERRY MCGEE ENDOWED STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPThe Jerry McGee Endowed Scholarship was created in honor of Jerry McGee for his 22+ years of service as executive director of the North Carolina Athletic Directors’ Association (NCADA). Jerry has apassion for making dreams a reality, thus the NCADA Board of Directors felt that offering a scholarship to two senior year high school student-athletes from North Carolina High School Athletic Association member schools each year would be a fitting way to honor his legacy. - Must be planning a course of study in the field 0f Family and Consumer Science (Foods, nutrition, human development, child development, housing, interior design, family financial management, teaching and other related fields.
- Must have a GPA of 2.5 or above
- Must return applications to the Cabarrus County Fair Scholarship Chairperson by the date provided.
