Whether you're looking for registration information, career and college planning materials, high school to college testing details, or community resource direction, we hope that you will find it here. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive, on-line information source, with links for educational assistance that meets the needs of all A.L. Brown students and parents. PSAT SCORES ARE BACK!
All students who took the PSAT TEST
in October should report to the Media Center at the beginning of 4th Block on Thursday, December 8.  Individual scores will be distributed. If you are unable to attend on Thursday, your scores will be available in Guidance. Please see Mrs. Stodghill for questions.

UNC PEMBROKE
HAS SCHEDULED A LUNCH VISIT TOMORROW (Thursday, October 27) IN THE SOCIAL ROOM.  ANY STUDENT WANTING TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT UNC PEMBROKE AND/OR APPLY TO THIS 4 YEAR COLLEGE SHOULD STOP BY AND TALK WITH PEMBROKE'S ADMISSION COUNSELOR.
OFFICIAL STUDENT GUIDES TO THE PSAT are now available in the Guidance Office.  The STUDENT GUIDE offers TEST TAKING  HELP! with examples of the types of questions that are on the PSAT TEST as well as a PRACTICE TEST with answer key.  If you are signed up to take the PSAT on Oct 12, please drop by the Guidance Office and pick up your copy.

The PSAT Test will be offered at A.L. Brown on Wednesday, October 12, 2011.  This test provides a valuable practice opportunity for the SAT college entrance exam and automatically enters high school juniors in the National Merit Scholarship Competition.   Participation in the PSAT test is highly recommended for any student who is planning to enter a 4-year university after high school.  The cost for the exam is $14.00 - cash or money order only will be accepted.  Interested students should sign up for this test with Mrs. Bostic in Cyber Campus Room 119.  Registration deadline is September 22nd. 

COLLEGE FAIR at A.L. Brown is scheduled for Tuesday, September 27 in the A.L. Brown Cafeteria.  Seniors are to report from 9:10 to 9:40 and Juniors will report from 9:40 to 10:10.  College admissions staff from 60+ colleges will be available with information and admission materials for prospective students.
